Q1: What is the process for leasing a property through the Insurastays platform?

A1: To lease a property, you first need to have either an Airbnb account, or a booking. account. Unfortunately at this stage we are not hosting properties that are not integrated to these platforms. The first step will be to send us an email to express interest in listing with us, then we will respond to you with a welcome email and instructions on how easily link your existing account with our Insurastays calendar. At this time and once we have received your information, we will set you up on our platform and send you some extra information and an agreement to our terms of service. Once completed your listing will go live.

Q2: How are payments handled on the Insurastays platform?

A2: Payments are typically processed by our finance team directly at the time of booking. Payments are not processed though our web platform as we keep our financials free from third party systems, minimising cybersecurity risks for all. We will make one-time payments for the booking within 48 hours of booking confirmation. Our Payment methods may include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or PayPal deposits You will receive receipts and confirmations for all transactions. Insurastays at no time, will ever request your bank details, or private personal information, and we do not store any financial information other than they way you would like to receive your payments on our site.

Q3: Do I need Insurance for my property?

A3: Having your property insured for full comprehensive cover including fusion & accidental damage highly recommended and may be mandatory depending on the property. Insurastays s not liable for personal property, liability, and or damages to your property while listed on our platform. We recommend you researching your own due diligence in regards to insuring your property for damages etc before listing it for lease on the open market.

Q4: What are the typical timeframes for booking agreements?

A4: Our properties are open to minimum nights as deemed by our property holders, and can extend for sometimes months at a time. It is up to the property owner to block out periods that they do not wish to lease their property out. Blocking out dates on your Airbnb/ Booking platforms with also flow though to the Insurastays platform. Our platform is updated every 60-120 minutes.

Q5: What should I do if there is damage to my property during a booking?

A5: If property damage occurs during your lease, it's important to report it immediately to your primary listing platform as well as your insurance company. We provide a streamlined process for submitting maintenance requests. You will be responsible to arrange for repairs, and we will liaise with you in regard to time frames and help to provide you with any information you will require for an insurance claim. Insurastays will have access to the details of the tenants at the time of booking and can provide these details if necessary for a claim. If the damage was caused by negligence of the property, you might be responsible for covering the repair costs.

Q6: Is the property cleaned at the end of a booking?

A6: Our tenants are usually home owners them selves and we would generally assume that they will treat the property as any other, when it comes to leasing or renting a space, and general cleanliness. Because we are an external 3rd party booking site only, the cleaning for the property is calculated within your primary booking platform- Airbnb or Booking.com therefore we do not engage cleaners of handle any of the external processes for the cleaning of the property.

Q7: What if I edit my booking in Airbnb, what will happen to my Insurastays Listing?

A7: Because our platform integrates with your 1st party Airbnb/Booking platform, our site will automatically update when you make any changes in your 1st party platform as our site will run updates every 60-120 minutes.

Q8: How do I end my agreement with Insurastays?

A8: If you do not wish to continue with our service, you are able to end your agreement by sending us an email to say that you wish to have our calendar integration removed from your Airbnb listing. We will then terminate the listing on our end and disconnect your account from our platform.
